Other EU projects on Women and Management
Equality has long been on the EU agenda and equality legislation
is an integral part of the Union’s statutes. Major
advances have been made regarding the position of women,
but equality in daily life is still hampered by the fact
that women and men do not have equal rights in practice.
This is why the EU is working to integrate equality and
with measures to improve the position of women through the
Programme relating to the Community Framework Strategy on
Gender Equality (2001-2005) The programme supports projects
that seek equal opportunities for women and men at work.
All the projects in 2004 are concerned with improving gender
distribution among managers and other decision-makers. Below
is a list of other projects approved during 2003 under the
